Our Mission

"A vital element of Los Angeles’ heritage can be found in its unique and irreplaceable municipal buildings, which serve the public as civic, cultural, architectural and historic resources. Project Restore is a non-profit organization, committed to the historic restoration and preservation of the civic integrity of the

City of Los Angeles."

About Us

Project Restore is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to the historic restoration and preservation of the civic integrity of the City of Los Angeles. We are a broad coalition of community, labor and industry representatives and preservationists committed to rehabilitating the buildings, monuments and public spaces which define our communities’ rich cultural heritage. Project Restore works in close cooperation with the elected leadership of the City of Los Angeles and with the public employers who construct, operate and maintain its facilities.

We are funded by private donations as well as federal, state and municipal sources. Project Restore’s public-private partnership uses these generous donations to support the restoration and upkeep of some of Los Angeles’ most well-known and beloved landmarks. Our 34 years of historic preservation work is enjoyed not just by Angelenos, but also visitors from around the world.
